Impairment Ratings

Using the American Medical Association: Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment we go over the methodology, examination, documentation, report writing and utilization of the guides. The course goes over some of the most common impairments encountered in a musculoskeletal practice.

Diagnosis 101

A good diagnosis is the first step to a great treatment. This training covers commonly encountered conditions that providers see in clinical practice. Clinically correlating the patients symptoms with physical exam findings and diagnostic testing. We also cover yellow and red flags that a signs of more serious problems.

DOT Physicals

This training program is designed to educate the provider (MD, DO, DC, PA, NP) on many aspects of commercial motor vehicle (CMV) operator health, evaluate operator competency, & DOT Certification. The instructor will also share real practice experience about providing DOT examinations and physicals.

Injury Causation

The causation of spinal disorders, particularly traumatic causation, is one of the most commonly encountered questions in general medicolegal occupational medicine or injury practice. A causal evaluation must determine if the requirements of temporal relationship, biologic plausibility, literature support, and sufficient injury have been met.
 

Core Stregthening

The spine is only as strong as the muscle core that supports it. We discuss MRI findings, grading of the deep spinal muscles, common findings, clinical presentations, studies and strategies to target the deep spinal stabilizers.

80% or more of all healthcare spending in the U.S. is tied to the treatment of conditions rooted in poor lifestyle choices. Chronic diseases and conditions—such as hypertension, heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, obesity, osteoporosis, multiple types of cancer—are among the most common, costly and preventable of all health conditions. A special emphasis will be on musculoskeletal conditions.

MRI Reading

You will learn the basic knowledge required for interpretation of MRI scans. Incidental findings and how to clinically correlate the findings with the patient symptoms. Acute vs common findings and other clinical aspects of MRI in clinical practice.
